Abuse of men in relationships takes many forms. Knowing the signs are the first steps towards seeking help. Asking for help should never be trivialized or mocked, but is all too common, sometimes even within the mental health community.
The consequences of abuse of men are hard to overstate: feeling alone, losing self-worth, and physical decline. But knowing that this is abuse and not normal is the first step towards asking for help. It's never too late to reach out to those that care more than the ones who should care the most.
